A visual outlet for Writer-Director/Composer, Tristan Nelson.

The Bedfordshire born creative started working on low-budget indie films and music videos in 2015 before exploring larger productions, starting with Disney’s ‘Dumbo’ (2019). Following numerous projects in different departments in commercials, films & TV (highlight being Netflix’s ‘The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance’), Tristan set about concentrating on his own projects.

In 2019, Tristan released his debut short film Moments– an LGBTQ+ romance/drama. The film premiered at Unrestricted View Film Festival before launching online. His first film in four years, Bakemono (‘Monster’ in Japanese) released November 2023, followed by Missing Piece in 2024. Future projects are currently at various stages, including a surreal, German expressionism-esque visual poem inspired by a childhood friend’s death and a heartbreaking narrative consisting of unattainable love, both presented in different foreign languages.

When not creating films, Tristan studies Japanese and composes under the pseudonym, Three Day Monk.
